The 10th Annual U.S. Media Literacy Week, to be celebrated on October 21-25, 2024, calls attention to media literacy education by bringing together hundreds of partners for free events and activities around the country. The National Association for Media Literacy Education (NAMLE), a SRVCE partner, organizes #MediaLiteracyWeek.
How can you weave media literacy into your classroom during Media Literacy Week or anytime throughout the year? Prep in advance! On Saturday, October 5 at 2:00pm ET, join the SRVCE team for one of a series of free mini showcases for educators (just 15 minutes). These showcases offer lightning rounds of strategies and info on analyzing media, evaluating sources, and developing an effective message. In SRVCE’s showcase, you’ll explore how activities and tools in our free civics curriculum help youth build media literacy skills as they design a plan of action on a community issue.
