We are pleased to announce the launch of Supporting Readiness through Vital Civic Empowerment (SRVCE), a free new high school civics curriculum funded by the Department of Defense. TIES is a proud SRVCE partner. SRVCE blends inquiry-based civic learning, media literacy education, and exploration of public service careers to prepare high school students to be active citizens and thrive in the workforce. The SRVCE Curriculum is aligned to standards, competencies, and core principles for social studies, media literacy, career and technical education, and social and emotional learning. Project activities include civic engagement, community asset mapping, oral history, collaborative research, persuasive writing, media analysis, visual communication, and a student-led civics project or capstone.
